17 aussie punk bands have come together to cause widespread punk rock destruction with the upcoming release (Feb 09) of the PUNKOCALYPSE!.

Produced by independant label, Embace Death Now, this home-grown compilation CD, features bands such as, Backyard Surgeons, Sniperival, None The Wiser, Hold Your Fire, Stalking Blake amoung many others. This compilation CD is one of the best new showcases of upcoming talent from unsigned bands, that despite being loosely described asfalling within the Punk Rock genre, illustrates the breadth and diversity that typifies the live music scene from NSW, VIC and SA. This EDN release heralds a pooling of effort and force to produce one of the best independant Compilation CD's released this year.

In celebration of this Australian Punk Alliance, a series of shows have been organised to form the Punkocalypse Widespread Punk Rock Destruction Tour, that is set to energise the local live punk/rock scene for months to come.
